Swansea Copper Barques and Cape Horners by Joannah Greenlaw, from an account written
by Capt. Richard Evans when he was mate, R.W.Brisco Junior commandedthe Sindbad,
which is believed to be the last sailing ship to take coal from North Dock Swansea. 50 years later his nephew Capt. M.W. Brisco was Mate of the Fort Bedford was the first ship to bring American coal into Swansea. During WWI R.W. Brisco received £50 reward for agressively fending off a submarine attack. | ||||||||
